Propagation
This is a very easy plant to propagate, they are a rhizome plant so to obtain more plants from it just cut pieces off the rhizome, these will then generate into new plants. Always make sure that when the rhizome pieces are re-planted that they are not completely submerged into the substrate, if they are the rhizome.

Short Description
This plant has been cultivated from Echinodorus horemanii and Echinodorus barthii. It has striking red leaves with light ribbing on the leaves. Being a cultivar, it is quite hardy but does require bright lighting and the addition of CO2 system will help this plant develop. The substrate should also be high in nutrients. They make a great specimen plant in their own right but also look effective in groups.
